About Us

We have been boaters since 1985.  Like a lot of you, we started out first in a runabout, trailering amongst a variety of inland lakes, thinking that life could never get better than this. But as our family (and our discretionary incomes) grew, and inland lakes became more and more crowded, we began a progression of ownership of larger and larger Sea Rays to enjoy larger and larger bodies of water. First a 1987 268 Sundancer named Tiny Dancer, and then, after one year, a 1989 280 Sundancer named Serious Business. These were our weekend abodes on Lake Winnebago. Then, five years later, in preparation to move to Lake Michigan, we acquired a 1988 380 Express named Harmony.  In 2006, we again moved up to Tupelo Honey,  a 2001 380 Sundancer.

During our 31 years of boating, we raised three children. They are all grown up now, and have blessed us with a total of eight grandchildren; we expect there may even be a few more in our future. While we love our boating lifestyle, it is becoming harder and harder to allocate the time and money while at the same time trying to be as active and engaged with our growing family.

As you may have noticed, we have a tradition of naming our boats after popular songs. While we were considering the purchase, we knew that more than likely this boat was going to be our last one. And that is why she has the name she has – Last Dance.

I guess you could say we have “…save(d) the last dance for…” you!
